Rabbi Yitzi Genack

Rabbi Yitzi Genack is passionate about Torah and people and finds great satisfaction in teaching and counseling. R Genack holds semicha from RIETS as well as degrees in mathematics and medieval Jewish history from Yeshiva University. R. Genack comes to Pittsburgh following his time as a Rabbi in Riverdale, NY, and eighth-grade Rebbe in New Jersey. Rabbi Genack also serves on the executive board of the Rabbinical Council of America. R. Genack and his wife Shoshana have six children.
Rabbi Eliezer Shusterman, Associate Rabbi

Rabbi Shusterman received his semicha from Central Lubavitch Yeshiva. Rabbi Shusterman also serves as Principal of the Mesivta Boys High School at Yeshiva Schools. He and his family came to Pittsburgh in 1993. Rabbi Shusterman assists with ritual duties and teaches a variety of classes for adults at Shaare Torah. He and his wife, Chani Shusterman, a professional Jewish educator, are deeply involved in Jewish education in Pittsburgh, teaching at Yeshiva Schools and Hillel Academy. The Shustermans have four children.
Rabbi Daniel Wasserman- Immediate Prior Rabbi

Rabbi Daniel Wasserman served as Rabbi of Shaare Torah from 1996–2022. He was an active member of the Vaad Harabanim of Greater Pittsburgh and involved in its many activities including Kashrut, Eruv, Conversion and the Chevra Kadisha. During his tenure, he founded the Gesher HaChaim Jewish Burial Society. In August 2022, Rabbi and Rebbitzen Wasserman realized their dream of making Aliyah. They currently reside in Modi'in.
Rabbi Wasserman is a student of Rabbi Berel Wein from whom he received his semicha. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Ramapo College of NJ, a M.S. in Community Leadership from Duquesne University and a Graduate Certificate in Jewish Non-Profit Management from Gratz College. He plays hockey, is a volunteer EMT for Magen David Adom and a volunteer scuba diver for the Israel Aquarium in Jerusalem.
